Revelry lyrics

What a night for a dance,
You know I'm a dancing machine
With a fire in my bones
And the sweet taste of kerosene

I get lost in the night
So high I don't want to come down
To face the loss
Of the good thing
That I had found

Woo hoo hoooo
Woo hoo hoooo

In the dark of the night
I can hear you callin my name
With the hardest of hearts,
I still feel full of pain

So I drink and I smoke
And I ask if you're ever around
Even though it was me who drove us
Right in the ground

See the time we shared it
Was precious to me
But all the while
I was dreamin of revelry

I wanna run baby run
Like a stream down a mountainside
With the wind at my back
I don't ever even bat an eye

Just know it was you all along
Who had a hold of my heart
But the demon and me
Were the best of friends from the start

So the time we shared it
Was precious to me
All the while
I was dreamin of revelry
Dreamin of revelry

And I told myself boy away you go
It rained so hard that it felt like snow
Everything came tumbling down on me

In the back of the woods
In the dark of night
The Palest of the old moonlight
Everything just felt so incomplete
Dreamin of revelry

If you were ordered to become a prison guard for alleged terrorists and live at Guantanamo, what would you find most difficult about your job?

well, a typical southern white baptist may say something like: "...hill, prawblih havinta smill all dim goddem AY-RABS all dey! HYECK!"

...my real answer?

hmm, how about, not getting a boner by accident. imagine the consequences of such an accident.

heads would roll...pigs would fly...jesus...well, he'd actually exist this time.

sigh.

this is essentially what i do when i've got free time...

so hey, i'm trying to get my videos looked at so that people can rate, comment, and tell me what's good and bad about them so i can teach myself better video editing skills. this video is obviously not edited (for the main reason that i was lazy) but if you have a youtube account, favorite my videos (if you like them, that is) and maybe others will see them and have something constructive to say (rather than the usual "the guy in the video looks like a fag" comments).

so show other people my vids, por favor!

i'm going to upload 5 videos at about 10 minutes length each of my friend Boo and I jamming in his spare room at his house. once again, unedited, simply 50 minutes of video trimmed into 5 separate videos (i learned how to trim video yesterday, and i also learned that uploading videos to youtube takes for fucking ever, especially when your videos are several hundred megabytes in size).

anyways, watch and enjoy!

my new camcorder..

  • Apr. 1st, 2009 at 6:00 AM

so i bought a 300 dollar  video camera at best buy a couple days ago. its a sony handycam, and all in all its very fuckin sweet. i'll be posting more videos than this one eventually, after i've edited all the raw footage i've gotten the last couple of days (its already like 5 gigs of vids). it was casar chavez day here in chico yesterday, and for obvious reasons we got drunk.

i woke up at about 3:30 this morning and i have not been able to fall back asleep, probably due to the alcohol....le sigh. at least i have class in a couple hours...its something to do, right?

so i went to class this morning and found out i got an A on my reason and religion test without studying for it, and the guy who sits next to me in class (who happens to be the type that sees the professor at his office hours and is nothing short of an asskisser) got a low B.

this has pretty much prompted me into thinking about double majoring in philosophy and psychology...which would mean i'd be here another few years getting both degrees....should i?

i'm going to talk to counselors...and maybe i'll defer my financial aid payments for much later in my life (late 20s, i'm thinking...)

two degrees....sounds nice, eh? BA in psych and a BS in philosophy...what the hell am i going to do with the rest of my life?

i'm starting to think i'm still not there yet.

leave me comments, tell me what you think...

(btw, i am in no way giving too much of a fuck about going to school until i am 30)

What is your personal motto or favorite quotation?

for the moment, it has been: "i want to be unique just like everyone else."

i'm not sure where i heard it from first or if i am quoting it correctly word for word, but the main idea is still there.

Yep

Arthur Jensen: [bellowing] You have meddled with the primal forces of nature, Mr. Beale, and I won't have it! Is that clear? You think you've merely stopped a business deal. That is not the case! The Arabs have taken billions of dollars out of this country, and now they must put it back! It is ebb and flow, tidal gravity! It is ecological balance! You are an old man who thinks in terms of nations and peoples. There are no nations. There are no peoples. There are no Russians. There are no Arabs. There are no third worlds. There is no West. There is only one holistic system of systems, one vast and immane, interwoven, interacting, multivariate, multinational dominion of dollars. Petro-dollars, electro-dollars, multi-dollars, reichmarks, rins, rubles, pounds, and shekels. It is the international system of currency which determines the totality of life on this planet. That is the natural order of things today. That is the atomic and subatomic and galactic structure of things today! And YOU have meddled with the primal forces of nature, and YOU...WILL...ATONE!
Arthur Jensen: [calmly] Am I getting through to you, Mr. Beale? You get up on your little twenty-one inch screen and howl about America and democracy. There is no America. There is no democracy. There is only IBM, and ITT, and AT&T, and DuPont, Dow, Union Carbide, and Exxon. Those *are* the nations of the world today. What do you think the Russians talk about in their councils of state, Karl Marx? They get out their linear programming charts, statistical decision theories, minimax solutions, and compute the price-cost probabilities of their transactions and investments, just like we do. We no longer live in a world of nations and ideologies, Mr. Beale. The world is a college of corporations, inexorably determined by the immutable bylaws of business. The world is a business, Mr. Beale. It has been since man crawled out of the slime. And our children will live, Mr. Beale, to see that . . . perfect world . . . in which there's no war or famine, oppression or brutality. One vast and ecumenical holding company, for whom all men will work to serve a common profit, in which all men will hold a share of stock. All necessities provided, all anxieties tranquilized, all boredom amused. And I have chosen you, Mr. Beale, to preach this evangel.
